Update
Well, I haven't been on xanga lately because I've been updating on Facebook, for the most part. So if you're not on Facebook, come join the fun!
This year has been flying by! We spent several weeks in the first couple of months passing one bug around after another. We are all well now (except Peter, who's got another cold which has kicked up his wheezing and chest congestion). The cold days are hopefully over (we just had a late freeze!). I need to replant a couple of peppers and tomatoes and now maybe things will really begin to grow!
Here's a few pictures of 2009, thus far:
Hannah turned 13! My how the girls are growing up. Here she is with Rebecca (22) who is in her second semester now at West Coast Baptist College. Emily turned 17, and Sarah turned 15 in January, also.
We gave Emily a ski trip for her birthday. She went with 3 families from our church and had a blast!
[Well, pooh. All the other pics I have tried to load are too big. Could somebody please tell me how to reduce the size so they can be uploaded to xanga?]
Edit: OK, here's one I reduced (what a pain)...our water main sprung a leak *under* our driveway. The boys made the best of it, "wallering" in the mud!
The plumber was happy, too, as he got to completely reroute our water line. ($$$)OK, I'm done for now messing with pictures. Hope I can figure out an *easy* way to reduce file sizes!
Wishing you a lovely spring!

Happy Spring!
Nice to meet you. My kids do FaceBook, but I haven't started it yet. I had 7 children (all grown now.) My oldest was 24 when the youngest was born. Now I have grandchildren that are older than my youngest. When we get together there's quite a crowd. 14 grandkids so far with another on the way, and 2 great grandkids. You have some fun times to look forward to.
Thanks for your comment. My grandson committed suicide, but I didn't want to put that on the tribute to him. He had been depressed, and was taking Paxil and ran out of it. At that time the drug had no warnings on it about suicide. Now it does, especially for young people. His wife has remarried, and his little girl is doing fine. She's in 3rd grade already and gets mostly A's. She's very close to her maternal grandmother, who is a very good grandma.
Hi, I was looking over my subscribers and thought I'd drop by. I haven't been on xanga much myself either, although I haven't been doing facebook either. Love the pictures, especially the summer fun in the mud and the blossoms.
Lovin' that last picture
. So glad we can stay in touch on facebook as well
